Total Suspended Solids (SM 2450D)

Total suspended solids (TSS) is the dry-weight of particles trapped by a filter. It is a water quality parameter used for example to assess the quality of wastewater after treatment in a wastewater treatment plant.

Chemical Oxygen Demand (HACH 8000)

Chemical oxygen demand (COD) is a measure of the capacity of water to consume oxygen during the decomposition of organic matter and the oxidation of inorganic chemicals such as Ammonia and Nitrite.

Oil and Grease (EPA 1664B)

Hexane is used to extract material (ideally just oil and grease) from an acidified aliquot of the sample stream. The hexane is evaporated and the entire amount of residue left behind is defined as oil and grease.

PH Analysis (4500 -H B)

PH, quantitative measure of the acidity or basicity of aqueous or other liquid solutions. The relative acidity or alkalinity of a solution is reported by the pH scale, which is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions in solution.
